Remember MeMe

I was cruising around blogville today via the ABC Along webring and stumbled onto this blog...
I loved the idea so here is the challenge.... (and I am copying)

"Ok, I am so thrilled with this meme I stumbled on via Mozemen (who found it via this blog).
The premise is to comment with a memory of me you may have but:
If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please post a comment with a COMPLETELY MADE UP AND FICTIONAL MEMORY OF YOU AND ME.It can be anything you want--good or bad--BUT IT HAS TO BE FAKE.When you're finished, post this on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people DON'T ACTUALLY remember about you.
Okey dokey. There."

So read... imagine... write....

KNITTING:
I ripped out that sock for the 5th time. I kept turning and twisting the caston so I couldn't tell where I was at. Last night while sitting in line to get my car washed I started over with a new pattern and when I got home I watched a movie with Hubby and got about 2 inches on the ribbing. I tried it on and felt satisified with the fit thus far. (last one was a bit to big and was going to result in a saggy sock, and who wants a saggy sock??)

I will post pictures when there I have started on the tricky parts. Oh and by the way, I was visiting "Fly In My Soup" and she had a few sock tips that I thought I would pass along...

Happy "Pajama Day" everyone! (yes, I am in my pajamas and it is almost 1pm thank you!)
Is anyone else out there with me?? Let me know!

2:38 pm PST... jammies still firmly in place, hair unbrushed (teeth brushed and faced washed tho). Knitting swatches to come soon. Making more coffee. Sun shining finally, and I made the decision not to go for that hike, that bike ride, that whatever... it's jammies all the way baby.

Ah, Nessie....I remember so well the time that hubby and I were staying in Sierra City and drove into Reno to spend the day with you. We met at the Atlantis casino after church, gambled a little, then got manicures & pedicures at the salon. The wine they served us was great, though the movies on TV were silly. Ah, so relaxing. I'll never forget peeing on the side of the road on the way back from Reno....Yes, Nessie, you and I go way back!

I remember now the train trip and how we snuck into the club car and using nail polish painted murals on the windows. I'm sorry I forgot to stay in touch!

Let's see...we've met so many times 'tis hard to narrow it down to one...how about the time we met at Rhinebeck and walked among all the stalls? You kept me from spending all my money on sock yarn and I helped you pick out the perfect merino for that sweater you've been talking about knitting...

I stayed in jammies until family and friends came over. Cleaning and staying in all day was the game. Poor hubby went out alone.

Remember last September at the Street Vibrations motorcycle run? We rode our Harley right up onto your lawn and did a spin-out. At first you were kinda WTF? But then you laughed and took a spin with the old man. Then we went to the casino to blow some dough. Tons of fun on two wheels!

Aren't you the woman who was staring at my handknit socks the other day on the subway? I thought you were creepy but now I fully understand.

hmm, yes the Atlantis they do have such a good oyster bar/all you can eat sushi. And do you remember Erica, my friend who works at the spa gave us a free facial? She is the best.

I think my favorite memory is the time we took Becky bungee jumping and she got so scared she threw up. Yup - good times!

Whit said...

Of course - I can kinda see her point as the bungee cords were those i-cords we knit the night before.... but still.

Uh, is Whit calling me a wussie? I don't think so! Humph!

LOL

Ah Beck - c'mon... just fess up. You lost it (all over Nessie's shoes). But you still did the jump! Very impressive really.

I TOTALLY loved when we did our rouge bungie jumping trip... WE really did believe in our I-cord making skills, didn't we? It is a good think all that only vomit was spilled that afternoon.
NOW that is some bad ass knitting if you ask me.
