I saw this site the other day and showed it to my husband. The hat is actually crochet, but at his request I'm going to figure out how to knit it (since I can't crochet at all). But I think as a toy, instead of a hat.
Yep, your right- I got so excited that I didn't even read the whole darn thing- I made the changes... if you do knit one of these bad boys up, wanna share the pattern? Maybe we could do a KAL of the FSM- whatta think??
DH says he would prefer a toy, but I think you could take the same pieces and attach them to a hat.
Regardless of what's on my to-do list, I'm going to see if I can work it up this weekend. Just have to find the right color for the meatball (and learn how to knit a ball). And I'll be happy to share!
I figure for the noodles, i-cord...I wonder if there is a way to make them curl? For the eye stalks, a modified fallopian tube from Knitty's Uterus doll, with an eyball on top.
Can't wait to see a picture of this- and maybe a pattern.. I ahve seen a few felted cat toy balls out there that you could use for the meatball... too much.. keep me posted!
